In the Spotlight:
August 1st, under a beautiful blue sky, we held our 4th cruise of the 2025 season at 814 Lanes and Games. Very comfortable temperatures greeted the 135 participants, and an overwhelming amount of spectators. Needless to say, the parking lot was nearly full. This cruise would have been held at Bovard Firehall, coinciding with their Burger Bash, but due to their parking area being unavailable, we needed to find another venue. Our cruise was already scheduled, and with no place to have it, the owners and staff of 814 Lanes and Games stepped up and offered our club their entertainment center on Rte. 136.
The E.C. Cruisers and 814 have partnered up in the past on other cruises and it has become a great venue and partnership for our cruises that continue to support Westmoreland County charities. 814 Lanes and Games grilled delicious Hamburgers and Hotdogs outside, just like the firemen would have at the firehall. They also had sides and refreshments a plenty, to chose from. Our club hosted a Bake Sale, an auction, sold 50/50 tickets, and handed out packaged Hot Wheels to the next generation of cruisers. Once again, a wonderful job was done by DJ Larry, (“Little Larry Joe”) providing music for the night.
The E.C. Cruisers would like to thank everyone who made the night a success. From the participants, spectators, and family and friends, who came to enjoy the cars, trucks (a vintage bus) and music, to 814 Lanes and Games for providing us such a great venue to hold a cruise. Not to mention their incredible hospitality. Certainly we don’t want to forget the one above, who provided such a beautiful and safe night.
A special thank you goes out to all of the firefighters of Bovard and Carbon Fire Departments for bringing their fire equipment and spending the evening at the cruise.

Bruster’s Cruise Article
Bruster’s Real Ice Cream and Poulich Pit Barbecue sponsored our annual car cruise on July 11th at Bruster’s in New Stanton. After a brief shower in the afternoon the cruisers, in their hot rods, started pouring in. Cars filled the field beside Bruster’s, and over flowed onto the adjacent church property.
The Cruisers were able to enjoy barbecue and ice cream while listening to great oldies provided by DJ Larry. Others enjoyed walking around and socializing with other cruisers, and talking about their classic car or truck. Members even handed out carded Hotwheels Cars to the young cruisers, which proved to be very popular for the youngsters.
A portion of our proceeds will be going to the Jamie Cordial Hall Foundation. Jamie was a close friend of the Poulich’s, who tragically lost her life in 2018, leaving two young children without a mother. This foundation, created by the family, is to help the children and others in need in the Greensburg and surrounding areas.
As the chairman of this cruise, I would like to personally thank all the members that came out and help support this cruise, the girls who helped at the registration tent, our car parker’s who did an exceptional job fitting as many car in the field as they did, and our members who sold and managed the 50/50 ticket sale. Also thank you’s go out to DJ Larry, and the Poulich family for hosting us at their venue. Most of all I would like to thank all the folks that attended this cruise, whether you had a car or not. If it wasn’t for your enthusiasm and support, we wouldn’t be able to hold cruises like last night. Thank you all for a very enjoyable night.
